Sale conditions and guarantee

1.- When buying an engine, it is compulsory to give the old core in exchange. The RRP on the price list is in exchange of a used engine with the same technical features of the new one bought and in a possible reconstruction condition.

2.- If the previous paragraph is not fulfilled, the engine user-customer and the supplier shall set new sale conditions including the corresponding extra charge.

3.- ASYSUM, S.A. shall test the used engine's cylinder head, block and crankshaft condition. If any of these must be replaced, the related costs will be added to the customer's invoice.

4.- The engine purchase is subject to a deposit of the old core and transport cradle value. If their return is delayed, they are charged to the customer 30 days after the purchase date. In the case of engines sent outside Spain, the casing and transport trestle value is added to the engine invoice and then paid back when being returned.

5.- The new engine and  old core  return shipment costs are included on the RRP on the list for (Spain) domestic deliveries (but Canary Islands), although VAT is not included.

6.- ENGINES ARE DELIVERED AS FOLLOWS:

a) PETROL ENGINES, bare with timing. The water pump is just equipped when it is part of the timing system.
b) DIESEL ENGINES, bare with timing and injection system. The water pump is just equipped when it is part of the timing system.
c) In the case of supercharged engines, either petrol or diesel, the turbo is not supplied.
d) Engines are delivered without lubricants or coolants.
e) The engines sold without the injection system do not equip the timing system.

7.- Some remanufactured engines may occasionally be supplied with either slave rocker covers or slave sumps. These slaves items must be exchanged for the original parts from the worm unit. It is essential that any parts removed from the worn unit are thoroughly cleaned and inspected prior to fiting to the remanufacture engine. The slave items must be fitted on the worn unit prior to it's return. Any costs incurred with this process will not be met by ASYSUM.

8.- The customer-user and/or the repair shop responsible for assembling the engine must fill in the assembly certificate and give it back with the used engine, otherwise the guarantee will not be valid.

9.- The repair shop shall perform the 1 st compulsory service after the first 1,000km, or 60 hours of operation in the case of industrial vehicles. To this end, the service card must be filled in and sent to ASYSUM, S.A. This service will be at the vehicle owner's expense.

10.- Imported engines may be in some way subject to the components included.

11.- The engines are 1-year guarantee.

12.- The guarantee is in force from the date of the contract of sale.

13.- Engines are equipped with a heat tab whose destruction cancels the GUARANTEE.

14.- GUARANTEE CONDITIONS

a) The contract of sale must be in the hands of ASYSUM, S.A., duly signed and stamped.
b) The assembly certificate must be in the hands of ASYSUM, S.A., duly filled in and stamped by the repair shop.
c) Once the 1,000km or 60 hours operation have been covered, the service card must be sent to ASYSUM, S.A. duly filled in.
d) If there is any doubt or breakdown, always contact the technical section of ASYSUM, S.A before any operation on the engine by yourself.

15.- THE GUARANTEE COVERS:

a) In the case of breakdowns due to rebuilding faults, the spare parts and labour to repair the engine will be delivered by ASYSUM, S.A. The labour costs will be paid according to the repair times established in each vehicle's valuation guide, at the price of 17 euros / hour plus VAT.
b) If the damaged engine must be replaced, ASYSUM, S.A. will provide another and pay to the repair shop making the assembly 150 euros for the labour costs in petrol engines and 240 euros in diesel engines, plus VAT.
c) The damaged engine shipment costs will be paid by ASYSUM, S.A.
d) ASYSUM, S.A. may force to send the damaged engine to the factory to be analysed before providing a new unit under guarantee.
e) The costs mentioned in subparagraphs "a" and "b" will be paid by issuing and sending an invoice to ASYSUM, S.A.'s legal address, including the related engine's guarantee number.

16.- THE GUARANTEE IS AUTOMATICALLY CANCELLED IN THE FOLLOWING CASES:

a) If the contract of sale is not returned to ASYSUM, S.A. duly filled in.
b) If the assembly certificate, duly filled in and signed by the repair shop, is not in the hands of ASYSUM, S.A.
c) If the service after 1,000km or 60 hours operation is not performed and the service card is not in the hands of ASYSUM, S.A.
d) Due to internal or external manipulation of the engine without prior authorization by ASYSUM, S.A.
e) When premature heating or wear is observed due to a bad use or abnormal conditions of the vehicle's operation.
f) When oil or coolant leaks are observed through the seals and joints due to excessive heating.
g) When the breakdown is due to external components or accessories in bad condition or incorrectly adapted to the engine.
h) When the engine is damaged due to the omission or bad use of the vehicle's control elements.
i) If a turbo is adapted to a nornal aspirated engine.
j) After selling the vehicle or changing its owner.
k) Due to a use not foreseen by the engine manufacturer, such as motor racing vehicles.

17.- THE GUARANTEE DOES NOT COVER:

a) The costs derived of the vehicle's immobilization.
b) Travelling costs in kilometres.
c) Crane services.
d) Lubricant oils, coolant liquids and filters that must be replaced in case of leakages or breakdown.
e) Labour costs exceeding the amounts indicated in subparagraphs (15a) and (15b) of this contract.
f) ASYSUM, S.A. never travels to make repairs under guarantee.
l) The devolution and/or suppression of a sale totally cancels this guarantee.

18.- The engine buyer relinquishes his/her own jurisdiction and agrees with ASYSUM, S.A. to submit any divergence due to misinterpretation or non-compliance of these conditions to the jurisdiction of the Lleida courts.

19.- When formalizing the sale with any buyer it is understood that all the conditions contained herein are accepted.
